Is this bruising around my incision site within normal expectations? (Photo)

Question

I did not take any medicine to help reduce bruising and do typically bruise quite easy. However, my left incision site looks pretty dark. They do not hurt. Is this something I should worry about or is it within normal bruising expectations?

Great question!  Brushing around the incision is common after breast augmentation, looking at your photos, it seems to be within the normal limits.  However, I would followup with your plastic surgeon and have him/her assess the situation.Best of luck and hope this information helps!

Regarding medications to limit bruising: That is fine you did not take any, there is no scientific support for their usage so not all surgeons will even advocate their use. 
Looking at your photos the bruising may be in the realm of normal, that being said a good physical examination would be helpful to rule out a hematoma (blood collection) as well as to ensure cap refill of the breast skin.

bruising after surgery can occur and if it is not extensive it is not something to be worried about. I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.

Thanks for your question and provided information.
You are still early on healing process. Right now you might have one breast bigger than the other, feel swollen and also have bruises, it is normal and can happen for the first 3 to 4 months, until your implants have dropped and settle in. 
If the situation doesn't improve over time, i suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

The concern about bruising is whether you have a hematoma.  The triad of symptoms to make the diagnosis are excess bruising, excess swelling, and pain.  Since you don't have excess pain or swelling I would say that you simply have a little bruising around the incision site which is fairly common.
