How soon after spinal fusion and decompression can I get breast augmentation and a Brazilian butt lift?

This is a question best answered by your spine surgeon. However, I would encourage you to not rush into further surgery without giving your body plenty of time to heal from your fusion surgery. Thank you for your question.  Because of the complexity of spinal fusion and decompressions, it would be best to seek clearance from your spinal surgeon before entertaining any other surgeries.  Once cleared, see ASPS board certified plastic surgeons for consultations on your breast augmentation and BBL.  Price will depend on what specific procedures are needed to obtain your results, as well as the anticipated amount of time it will take in the OR.  Typically combining procedures is cheaper than performing the procedures independently as each incremental hour in the OR is cheaper from an anesthesia and OR facility fee point of view.  Hope that this helps.

I would suggest that you run your initial question by your spine surgeon.  If I were you, I would be very conservative not rush into plastic surgical procedures that may involve positioning changes in the operating room. When it comes to costs of surgery, there may be many “variables” involved. The specific surgeon's credentials/experience level (or lack thereof), the specific geographic area you are looking at, the different operations available, the location of the procedure (quality of surgery facility), type/quality of anesthesia provider… are some of the potential variables involved. You will find some average costs of surgery on this website and on individual plastic surgeons' websites as well.
In regards to outcome of the planned procedure, more important than costs of the procedures will be careful selection of your plastic surgeon. I would suggest starting with the American Society of Plastic Surgery and/or the Aesthetic Society of Plastic Surgery to obtain a list of well experienced board-certified plastic surgeons.
Then, I would suggest you visit a few surgeons whose practices concentrate on aesthetic surgery. Ask to SEE lots of examples of their work AND preferably speak/see patients who have had similar procedures done.
Be very careful with your decision-making. You will find, while doing your due diligence, that there are many different “specialties” who will offer their services to you; again, I strongly recommend you concentrate on surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. I would also suggest that you do not base your selection of plastic surgeon primarily on costs of surgery; keep in mind that revisionary surgery may be more costly in many ways. Dear Badjuju,I would absolutely defer to your spine surgeon, but me recommendation is that you wait at least 3 months following your fusion to assure that you are well healed and the surgery was a success.You will likely save money by doing the breast and BBL surgery simultaneously from both the physician and the facility. Everyone has price differences based on their level of expertise and where they perform their surgery. Office based surgery tends to be less expensive that hospital based surgery, but there are obvious differences. Doctors are probably the worst people to ask about price, so it might be best to have a consult or two and then do some calling around. Best of luck with both surgeries!

Thanks for your question.You should be fully healed from your spinal fusion and get a clearance from your orthopedic/neurosurgeon prior to breast augmentation and BBL. It will be at least 6 weeks.The cost of any elective surgery is combination of surgeon's fee, anesthesia fee, and facility fee.  This will depend on your surgeon's expertise/experience, duration of surgery, and geography. By combining surgeries, you will have one recovery rather two.  Please consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to evaluate your options.

IN my patients, I would wait about 3 months after spine operations and obtain approval from the spine surgery for such a procedure.  Be sure to discuss with your own surgeon about how this applies to you, and whether they have any special concerns in your case.
