Hi. I had my Mommy Makeover 6 months ago and now I would like bigger implants. Can you from these photos alone, see if it would be possible. When I had my 400 ml implants (with big lift) this was maximum amount, both due to lift procedure but also because of the width of my chest (according to the surgeon).
Answer: Revising Breast Implants with a Size Increase Increasing your implant size requires adjusting the #pocket. Also, breast #lift also may be necessary; to better #support the new implant. Additionally, a mesh for further support may be helpful depending on the #implant size and skin #elasticity. With both implant types there are choices when it comes to size, shape, and profile. The criteria best to suit you will be discussed in full detail at your breast augmentation consultation. Any cosmetic #revision has risks of unhappy outcome or other complications. Also, the right implant for the revision is contingent on shape of body and your desired outcome. Your procedure should always be performed by a #PlasticSurgeon who is board-certified and has a great deal of experience specializing in cosmetic #surgery. You will then greatly improve your chances of getting the result you desire, and, without the need for another revision surgery. It is suggested that you look at before and after photos of the surgeons actual patients, and read patient #reviews. Gathering all of this information will help you make a well-informed decision.

Answer: Best breast implants for me? Thank you for the question. Although it is not possible to provide you with definitive advice without an person evaluation, most patients are able to "go larger" at a second stage, once the breast tissues have expanded (after first-time breast augmentation). Sometimes, during this revisionary surgery, adjustment of the breast implant capsules is also necessary to achieve the desired outcome. Ultimately, careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, and computer imaging) will be critical. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering revisionary breast augmentation surgery (regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "D or DD cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery ( after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers). Viewing the patient's chest wall in the upright and supine positions, with temporary sizes in place, help select the best breast implant size/profile for the specific patient. I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to revisionary breast augmentation surgery concerns), helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Breast lift volume limitation I can't but praise the excellent work done by your surgeons, you've been very lucky with your choice and you'd rather be grateful to his brilliant procedure. Not only due to the optimal outcome, also by his remarkable feature about 2 points about which you might be unaware:-a breast lift poses a limitation to the implant size that can be inserted without leading to necrosis, extrusion, bottoming out and other catastrophes, so it is of very cautious and good judgment the surgeon not letting the patient wash him away with requests of high volumens, the professional has to stand firm on technical grounds to guarantee the safety of any of his cases; as it seems from your case your surgeon was cautious and did not follow your (understandable, respectable and common) requests of a larger volume; you must thank him (google "extrusion breast implants", you'll get me)-yes, your surgeon did not use implants large enough to meet your wishes and expectations, true, but actually he did not use small implants as would have (reasonable and judiciously) 90% of surgeons, he indeed used LARGE implants (yes, not as large as you wanted, but really fit into the category of BBA); this means your surgeon is top notch, well-experienced, very few surgeons feel comfortable taking mastopexy techniques off-limits and insert large implants, plase do send my recognition to my colleage, he really knows how to carry out breast lifts safely with large implants, he feels comfortable walking on the razor's edge / walking on the wire; and believe me, there are few cases in which I feel this satisfaction staring at others' work well done With that said, yes you can get now, in a second stage, implants unlimitedly large. Do the revision with the same surgeon, you'll not find a better service.PS: same comments applicable to your tummy tuck; brilliant.

Answer: Increasing implant size Thank you for your question. You are now far enough out from your original procedure to undergo a revision or increase implant size. Your breasts could likely accommodate a slightly wider implant with more volume. I recommend discussing with your plastic surgeon or another board certified plastic surgeon. Hope this helps. Best wishes!
