Can I get an infection from my bf putting his mouth on my nipple one month post- op?

Question

I got a 770 breast implant from a 450 (first implants) one month ago and my bf and I had sex tonight and during he was kissing my boobs and put his mouth on my nipple. (Sorry of this is tmi) but now I'm worried about the hickey he gave me on my breast and the fact that he put his whole mouth over my nipple. I came home and showered with antibacterial dial soap and put some neoaporin on my incision .. am I still at risk for serious infection?

The short answer is you're probably in no significant risk for infection. One month after surgery your incisions are fairly well healed. You're definitely healed enough to do most activities without any fear. Having saliva spread across the incision is definitely higher risk than most other activities, but still probably OK. Just keep an eye on things. As long as there is not increasing redness and/or pain you should be just fine.I hope this helps! There is no problem with nipple kissing one month after breast augmentation, and the likelyhood of infection is unheard of.

If your incisions were dry and closed, there is probably no increased risk from your boyfriend. However, if you have any concerns, please let your surgeon check your breasts.
