Liposuction or body sculpting? Which one do you suggest is best in my case?

Question

I'm over one year post gynecomastia surgery. (Excision of very small gland and liposuction) I consulted my surgeon many times and I still have puffy nipples. We did an ultra sound and I have a fat tissue and a bit of scar tissue. My doctor says another surgery will yield to more scar tissues. I feel really depressed. What do you suggest I should do? Thanks very much in advance.

Those two terms refer to the same thing, and the underlying procedure is to remove fat through liposuction.

Thank you for sharing your question and I am sorry that your current results have not been what you anticipated.  Depending on your tissue quality you may be a candidate for a revision procedure to either reduce any pseudo/gynecomastia tissue present behind your nipple and areola.  Seek out second opinions that may corroborate your surgeon's opinion, or offer you a differing view on treatment options.  Best wishes.

Liposuction is also known as Body sculpting. There are different types of liposuction. As an artist I like to use ultrasonic assisted liposuction and the SAFE technique. I was one of the pioneers performing this type of liposuction. I've lectured nationally and internationally on the subject. Advantages of this type of liposuction over traditional liposuction include 1) smoother results 2) more fat removed and 3) significantly less blood loss. Body sculpting is a very general term and does not necessarily refer to a specific procedure.  It often involves liposuction.  In your particular case, if you still have a degree of residual gynecomastia, additional liposuction and/or breast tissue excision may be indicated.  You need to be careful though not to overexcise, as this can make contour irregularities.
