When drinking water or just swallowing my nose makes a weird noise?

I just had a rhinoplasty 2 days ago but i have noticed that when i drink water or swallow salvia my nose makes a weird noise. I think its air that is being pushed out but its only through my right nostrils. Its quite annoying. Anyone who might know the reason behind this? Will it pass?

Thank you for your question. I agree with your surgeon in that you should remain patient and follow your recovery guidelines diligently. Your nose and tip will continue to change up to the 9 to 12 month post op mark and, sometimes even longer as each patient has a different recovery process....

The stitches on the nose can hurt at times but they would respond to the use of ice packs.  You have to make sure the area is not red and tender as that would indicate possible infection and would need attention by your surgeon.RegardsDr. J
