Will I be able to sit for school after my BBL?

Question

I'm 19 years old and I'm getting my BBL done in Miami this summer in the beginning of July. My school starts again approx 1 month after and I was wondering if I would be able to sit after that on a regular school chair or will I still be needing my chair cushion? Normally I have classes between the hours of 8AM to 2PM

This is really dependent on your surgeon’s postoperative protocol. Iprefer my patients not sit for about 2 weeks after surgery and then afterwardsthey sit on a donut for about a month just to offload the pressure on thebuttocks.Any pressure that you put onthe buttocks can compromise the viability of the fat cells.Placing pressure on the fat cells can causethe cells to die and make your buttocks smaller.It is best to follow-up with your PlasticSurgeon for more specific questions.

Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
I recommend my patients to allow 2-4 weeks for recovery, and to wait at least 7-10 days before going back to work, but each doctor has their own protocol. 
I also recommend not to sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. Remember that each doctor has their own protocol, it is very important that you talk to him and follow his instructions.

It is a common misconception that sitting is a major problem after Brazilian Butt Lift.  I always advise my patients to minimize extended periods of sitting on a hard surface for two weeks after a BBL.  After that, there should be no problem.

I will allow most patients to sit after about two weeks, but I prefer that the move around a lot so that they do not put undue pressure on the buttocks.
