I have scar tissue in certain areas in my buttocks from getting silicone butt shots about 7 yrs ago, I want to have the Brazilian Butt Lift procedure done and will like to know will the scar tissue be an issue to have the Brazilian Butt Lift procedure.

This is best determined by an examination.Sometimes people can have really hard lumpsafter silicone buttock injections. You can feel and see them a little bit more after a Brazilian Butt Lift with fat transfer, so it can be an issue but it really depends on the examination.It is best to follow-up with your Plastic Surgeon for more specific questions.

This is a very difficult situation to correct. Scarring from silicone injections can very likely pose an unnecessary risk to fat transfer. Unfortunately, as you have seen.  the results of silicone injected directly into the buttock can cause a lifetime of problems. The media has been increasing awareness of this illegal practice and I, myself have been interviewed to alert people to the dangers of this practice. Since you say you have scar tissue in certain areas of your buttocks this would not be conducive to fat transfer. I would recommend against having the  BBL procedure as this could cause further complications.

Free silicone causes scarring; scarring creates unstable scaffold for fat cells to be placed in and will likely result in less than 100% take of fat transfer. What this means for you is that you will likely have partial take of your fat transfer; you should still get enlargement of your buttocks but not as large as if you had a virgin buttocks.
