While both chin augmentation methods can be done they produce slightly different aesthetic results. The sliding genioplasty is better for you as your chin needs to come both forward and up and also keeps your chin narrow from the front view. A chin implant can be used but it would have to be custom designed to ensure the right dimensional changes occur while still keeping your chin narrow. Computer imaging needs to be done to help yo determine the exact dimensions of your chin augmentation that you prefer.
