Difficulty swallowing after Chin Lipo

Question

I had Chin Lipo performed yesterday. I am not in pain but am having a hard time swallowing. I took the chin strap off to wash my hair shower and brush my teeth for about 30 minutes. Even without the strap on it was hard to swallow. Is this normal? Thank you

Hello,After neck liposuction most people feel tightness due to the swelling which is expected post procedure.  The swelling may be causing your difficulty with swallowing and should resolve as your swelling resolves over the next weeks. Swelling tends to peak by day 3 after surgery and then slowly decreases after that over time.  If you notice your symptoms worsening or have any concerns be sure to address these with your surgeon.Best of Luck with your healing!Dr. Rednam

This may be due to swelling, which will gradually resolve over the next several weeks. I recommend following up with your surgeon. Hope this helps.
