Hello and thank-you for your question. We have some very exciting new technologies for non-invasive tightening of the Neck. Renuvion powered by J-Plasma (Cool Helium Plasma) along with liposuction can produce dramatic improvement in skin laxity and fat reduction. This technology has produced beautiful results for correction of a turkey neck without the scar required with a traditional neck lift. Ultherapy and other non invasive treatments for fat reduction A (Coolsculpting, Kybella) would also be an option.Price would depend on geographical location. I would recommend an in person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon well versed in all aspects of facial rejuvenation.Best, Andrew Lyos MD FACS
Neck liposuction is a great option for patients with good skin elasticity and excess fat in the neck and around the jawline. This will remove excess fat and stimulate the skin to contract over time which will improve angulation and definition along the jawline. I recommend seeing an expert for a consultation who can go over this procedure to determine if it will achieve your desired results and the cost of the procedure. I hope this helps!
Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures, including Chin Augmentation with dermal fillers or silastic chin implants, for over 30 years. Costs would be determined by the cause of your double chin. Is there excess fat, skin and/or a weak chin? Non smiling photos of your face from the front and side would help in the evaluation. If the chin itself is weak, fat removal alone by any method would be incapable of correcting the weak chin and thereby fail to significantly improve the double chin. When the chin is weak, this creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy, the lower face looks short, de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a "double chin". Proper placement of a silastic chin implant adds forward projection to the chin thereby creating harmony and balance to the lower face. Using the same incision, liposuction can be performed to reduce the fat and further shape the neck. Excess skin, from below the chin, can also be removed through the same incision. I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty (requires extensive tissue dissection, bone cuts and placement of metal screws and plates to secure the cut segments of bone). I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone. In my opinion, you are a good candidate for chin implant surgery. Hope this helps. When consulting with surgeons perhaps ask not only is your chin weak but do they have experience performing chin augmentation? The attached video shows how I determine whether the chin is weak. The second part of what that surgeon said is absolutely correct. The selection of the proper size, shape and thickness as well as the proper placement of the silastic chin implant are all "key" elements in creating a naturally looking chin. If too large of an implant is used in a woman, the chin can look relatively masculine. That's where experience, performing chin implant surgery, comes into play.Hope this helps.
Your photos are quite disturbing for someone who is 6 weeks post liposuction. It is important that you return to your surgeon and discuss your concerns. It is difficult to make a recommendation without a clinical exam but the fullness and the skin area below are both a concern. An MRI may be ne...
During the first 7-14 days the effect on the marginal mandibular nerve can be seen with partial or total paralysis of the lower lip. The nerve should rebound in time and will heal in most cases. In many instances the decreased lip movement is simply due to swelling (edema) of the soft...
Hi It would be very helpful to see a 3/4 and frontal view but based on your picture, chin filler would be very helpful in better defining your jawline.. your chin doesn’t lack the vertical height but lacks anterior projection, thereby blunting the sharpness of your jawline.. I think once s...
