I have a lack of cheek volume, sagging cheeks and deep nasolabial folds, leading to premature aging. Despite my young age, am I a candidate for a midface lift? When I pull back the skin on my cheeks (see last picture), my appearance improves dramatically. If not, do I have any other options? I have considered facial fillers but feel like they might not change much. I have also considered cheek implants, but am not sure they would be as effective at "pulling up" my deep nasolabial folds.
Answer: Ultrasound Radio Frequency and Dermal Fillers Seeing that you are so young it would be a good idea for you to first look into non-invasive treatments first. There are a few treatments that you can do that will give you great results with little to no down time. For the concerns that you have enumerated, you could look into doing Ultrasound Radio Frequency for skin tightening, and fillers for the area where you believe you do not have enough volume. To ensure that you would achieve your desired results, choose your provider wisely.

Answer: Improving nasolabial folds and cheeks with fillers (voluma, radiesse), sculptra, lasers, microneedling/prp, ultherapy, rf Usually a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement to these areas. I recommend fillers or fat for the cheeks and folds themselves and to provide anatomical support in combination with Sculptra for collagen building, lasers and microneedling/prp to improve texture and tone along with ultherapy/rf treatments for skin tightening and lift. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist for a short and long term treatment plan. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: I believe the best option for you would be dermal filler injections. Thank you for your question. I believe the best option for you would be dermal filler injections. This would be less invasive than a face lift, which would leave you with permanent scars. I would inject the mid-face with a hyaluronic acid filler such as Restylane Lyft. A hyaluronic acid filler can easily be dissolved with hyaluronidase if you are unhappy with the results. You can start with 1-2 syringes and add more later on if you want to. I recommend having a consultation with an expert injector to discuss your concerns and determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!

Answer: Cheek Augmentation with Voluma Dear jws049:Looking at your photos, I would recommend initial augmentation of your cheeks with a filler like Voluma which can sometimes soften and lift your nasolabial folds. Please see an expert injector for best results. Remember less is more. Best wishes.

Answer: Mid face volume loss I think that I would strongly discourage you from having a face lift at 26. Many males have thin cheeks. You didn't say if this is how you've noticed this or if it has always been this way. You can safely add volume in this area. The best filler for this kind of loss would likely be Sculptra which stimulates your own collagen. One of the side benefits of Sculptra is that it often does enhance the skin as well. There are other options to improve the skin texture and tone once you have got the volume where you want it to be. Sculptra is a tricky filler to use, however, so just make sure that you see someone with good experience. Hope this helps.
