Would I be a candidate for the surgery to close my nostrils slightly to hide the cut in my nasal sill?

I appreciate very much the response to my initial question regarding my lip lift scar and an Alarplasty. I read other questions and answers and tried the Q-tip in the mirror to see what results would look like. Would I be a candidate for the surgery to close my nostrils slightly to hide the cut in my nasal sill?

With acne rosacea the nasal sebaceous glands can become enlarged and effect the shape and the color of the skin as well. There is no intervention such as alarplasty that will help at present. Continue to work with a dermatologist to keep rosacea under control. Regards Dr Janjua

Alarplasty certainly can reduce the width and flare of your ala/nostrils. When performed well, the incisions hide well within the alar facial groove.

Based on your photos it appears you've had rhinoplasty with alarplasty. While what you describe may be possible, it may not be the best solution to optimize the symmetry of your nose as other factors come into play regarding the position of your alar rim - such as the orientation of your lower...

Based on your photos the asymmetry you're noticing is due to asymmetry of cartilage within your nose - lower lateral cartilage and caudal septum. Without addressing that structural asymmetry - requiring a rhinoplasty - it's not possible to significantly improve the symmetry of your nostrils.
