Is it possible to have a vertical Genioplasty where the bone naturally grows back? (rather than grafting)

j539n888
I am looking to get a genioplasty that has vertical and horizontal depth, but I keep reading doctors using graphed bones and I would prefer my own natural bone to grow back. Is this a procedure that can be done? Are there any downsides to this method and how long before the bone is healed and it grows back?
