Thank you for your question. Botox is the best option for facial slimming, in my opinion.Injecting Botox into a muscle causes it to relax and shrink in size. When we use this information and apply it to the masseter (chewing muscle), it causes the muscle to become smaller and therefore results in a thinner facial appearance. Additionally, PDO threading can be used along the jaw for a more defined face. These are both helpful products.
Hello and thank you for your question. Thebest advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. If you have masseter hypertrophy, then botox can be effective for slimming the lower face. Make sure you specifically lookat before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgeryperformed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The mostimportant aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommendthat you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon whocan evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Softening up your jaws with Botox will certainly help you look more feminine. But looking at your pictures I’m not sure why you need Botox injections to begin with. You certainly look feminine and your jaws are not prominent in my opinion.
I do think Botox/Dysport could be injected into the masseters to slim the lower face and soften the jawline. This could be combined with chin augmentation using a filler such as Restylane Lyft. The combination would improve facial proportions and harmony.
Facial slimming can help give a softer, slimmer look by using botulinum neuromodulators (Xeomin, Dysport, Botox). I think you have nice cheek bones and a nice feminine face, but we all can find faults with what we don't like about ourselves and that's where minimally invasive treatments are a way to make subtle and reversible changes to see how like.
I do think that slimming the lower face with Botox would help. I also think that a rhinoplasty with particular attention to thinning the top would be of benefit. Also either a chin implant or filler to make the chin more projected and narrowed would be beneficial.
Having a Botox treatment to slim your face by injecting your masseter muscle will not make your face look any more feminine. You should be evaluated in person by a plastic surgeon like myself. Good luck from New York City
Thank you for your pictures and question. Softening the jaw line, enhancing the cheeks, fuller, higher eyebrows etc., generally help for a more feminine look. From the pictures provided, you definitely look feminine and not sure you need Botox. Asymmetry is also norma,l but can be improved with injectables. I suggest getting a formal consultation with an expert in your area. All the best, Dr.Michon
Thank you for the question and pictures. You look feminine! Most of us have asymmetric faces. However, if you would like some "fine tuning", then you may be a candidate for Botox of the massaters. The pictures that you provided do not show a very prominent set of massates, but an exam may change that opinion. I think that a chin implant would balance your nose well, though this is more invasive (and permanent) than Botox. It may also lengthen your jawline, which would be a plus. Good luck!
Local irritation or rarely an infection may happen after Botox injections and typically subsides in few days. However, it is recommended to follow up with your surgeon for evaluation.
Sorry to hear about your experience. Eyelid (not eyebrow) ptosis is a rare complication of Botox/Dysport treatment and can happen even when treated by very experienced injectors. The eyedrops will help with the eyelid ptosis and your injector should prescribe it for you. If he is not willing, I...
I suggest speaking to your physician if this lasts more than 2 weeks. Light stim LED and massage can help. Best, Dr. Emer.
