I had botox injected to lesson the frown line on either side of my mouth. I am now having malocclusion problems. Constantly biting my tongue and lower lip. What can i do to correct this? I'm also a flute player and discovered this was probably a big mistake for i have lost my ambiture. :(

Answer: Botox and lower face issues Sorry to hear of your issue. I would not typically inject Botox into the lower face muscles for anyone who depends on these muscles for work or activity such as playing the flute. However as long as the amount injected was not more than a few units, it should wear off in the first 6-10 weeks. I would also recommend that you increase the usage of these muscles by moving and exercising them to assist in the process. Best wishes,

Answer: Lower face Botox injection of Botox to the lower face typically wear off after 6 weeks . If The DAO muscles are not injected correctly and the depressor labii inferior muscles are inadvertently injected it can cause depression of the lower lip. Repetitive movement/exercise and time are the only solutions , hopefully the dosage injected was only a few units
