What is the painful bump on top of my eyebrow after Botox?

It’s been exactly a week. Some swelling for the first few days but on the 6th day one side has a painful bump on top of my eyebrow. It’s not red. What could it be? I’m worried! A.k.

Dear gasgasgas,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Botox is generally an on off switch for muscle activity. I get a fair amount of actors/actresses in my practice that are looking to reduce wrinkles but keep some expression. Finding an experienced physician injector is your best bet.Most of patients see first changes after 4-7 days and the final results after 10-14 days.It depends on the amount of Botox and area where it is injected but it usually last for 3-4 months.Daniel Barrett, MD

A painful bump after Botox should be seen by a doctor to diagnose and treat it.  It is preferable to go to whoever did the injection, but if they push you out too far or do not see you for this, then I'd find another.  Good luck!
