3 days post op Tummy Tuck I have blood tissue clots in my tubes. Is it ok to leave until my next follow up 3 days from now?

As long as the the drain is still functioning, a clot in JP drain tube or bulb is safe to ignore. JP drains are most commonly used after a Tummy Tuck, but even for other procedures, as long as fluid id getting past the clot, the drain is working. If there is any doubt, just call you plastic surgeon. 

It is quite common to see blood clots in drain tubes and at the same time it is very rare for drain tubes to become blocked. The more important questions are "How much are you draining?" "Is the amount decreasing?" and "What color is it?"

Yes. Your doctor or staff probably talked to you about stripping the drain tubes. If so usually those little clots come out into the bulb and it is normal.

Its ok to have clots in the bulb as long as the drains are still working.  Make sure to follow up closely with your surgeon.  Good Luck, Gaurav Bharti

It is normal to have blood clots in the drain, especially where you are supposed to milk to tubes frequently. As long as they are not totally clogged and you see flow in the bottle, you should be OK.
