Almost half the time I move my incision feels like it's popping. It's excruciating and it aches a bit. Is it possible that I could be popping the internal sutures each time I get up to go to the bathroom? Am I moving around too much? I'll be giving my surgeon a call, but I'm very nervous :(. I have no drains, and very little bleeding.

Answer: Tummy tuck incision Moving around after a tummy tuck is important to prevent blood clots. I would stick to the guidelines that your surgeon gave you for activity restrictions. Sometimes patients have the sensation that their sutures are popping when they move especially early on. Based on the limited view that I can see from your photo your incision looks intact and you have excellent contour of your abdomen. I would call your surgeon's office and set up an appointment so they can evaluate you. All the best,Arun Rao M.D. Plastic Surgeon Tucosn, Arizona
