Hi, thank you for sharing your question. You do not appear to have tuberous breasts. You are a good candidate for for breast augmentation however, the exact size and characteristics of the implants is best determined after an in person exam by a board certified plastic surgeon.
Unfortunately, surgeons have created the term tuberous breasts, a fact which causes unnecessary concerns for women. Many women just have different sizes and shapes and in my opinion shouldn't be labeled. I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of women (my patients) with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants and they choose what looks right for them. They also get to see what they would look like when the breasts have fully dropped and fluffed and in clothes. You get to see actual results and the surgeon's experience and not a virtual idea of what can be achieved. Women tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size and style breast implant is right for them. Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author. Thanks for your question! Your breasts don't appear to be tuberous, but if they are, it is very mild. I think that a breast augmentation would be a wonderful choice for you. I would likely recommend a moderate profile implant, but that would best be determined by an in-person consultation. Good luck!
Dear VD2022,tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall. The type of surgery best for you will depend on the severity of your condition. My preferred technique for tuberous breast correction involves a multistep procedure where the breast tissue is released in a radial pattern to prevent herniation into the areola and placement of a custom implant size is in the breast to allow appropriate expansion of the breast in the restricted dimensions. This can often be done in a single procedure but sometimes may require two surgeries. That said, it is best that you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thank you for your inquiry and photos. An examination in person would be required to properly evaluate you and make specific treatment recommendations. That said, you have what appears to be one element of tuberous breast which is a short nipple to fold distance or what is referred to sometimes as a "constricted lower pole". This means that in planning your breast augmentation, your plastic surgeon must account for this short distance and significantly lower your fold in a proper proportion to achieve a pretty outcome after your augmentation. For most women, the nipple to fold distance in a pretty and well proportioned breast will be 8-11 cm and in yours it is probably closer to 5-6 cm. You also appear to have some asymmetry with your right breast appearing to be slightly smaller. This may mean you would require two different size implants to achieve optimal symmetry. This is not uncommon. Please select a board certified plastic surgeon whose aesthetic results align with your own preferences, and make sure that you prepare for your consultation with photos of women's breasts you would hope to be able to mimic in your own final result. Do your research, and be open to the possibility that more than one consultation might be in your interest to feel confident with your decision to move forward with scheduling you surgery. Best of luck to you.
Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. It does not appear that your breasts are tuberous and a well-sized breast augmentation should yield you an excellent result.
No, you do not have tuberous, shaped like tubers, breasts. I would suggest meeting with a board certified plastic surgeon, being examined and measured, and trying on the range of implants that best fits your frame and tissue. Then, you can see what size you actually like. Fat transfer will only give up to one cup increase in size.
From your photos it does not appear you have tuberous breasts. You appear to be a good candidate for breast augmentation which would give you more volume and upper pole fullness. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation.
No these are not tuberous breasts, they are just smaller sized breasts, located more widely apart from each other. A breast augmentation with a wider breast implant profile would likely improve what bothers you. Best of luck!
Hello and thanks for your question. It seems that you tuberous breast deformity. My treatment plan for your case is breast implant operation. Having 350 cc of implants will give you very good result.
Hi & thanks for your question. Your surgeon and his/her staff will go over your pre/post op care with you. You will be given instructions to follow post surgery. Any questions or concerns reach out to your surgeon. Best wishes!
Since your implants are only 3 years old, I doubt you have a rupture. You can get an ultrasound to check your implants. You probably have some nerve pain related to scar tissue. A pain specialist might be able to give you some relief.
Greetings, Your symptoms including shortness of breath are concerning! If the pain is severe, you should go immediately to an emergency room for an evaluation which may include lab studies, a chest x-ray and or a CAT scan. Make certain this is not a lung problem! Without an examination,...
