Should these stitches smooth out? Surgery was 10 days ago. Lolipop lift + 385cc HP implants.
Answer: Stitches bunched at bottom of lollipop lift, 10 days post Lift with Implants. Will the stitches smooth out? Congratulations on your recent surgery. A vertical lift intentionally bunches the skin on the lower part of the breast. These bunches settle over the course of 3-6 months.

Answer: Lollipop lift Thank you for your question and photos. Bunching on the lower part of the incision happens as the skin is gathered at the bottom. It usually settles down over 6 months to a year. You're still very early after this surgery, and have a great overall result. How do you stay patient and wait? Tell yourself that the bunching is a trade-off to avoiding a long side-to-side scar in the breast fold. If there is any residual bunching after a year, a small revision procedure can address it. Enjoy your new look!

Answer: Bunched skin at lower incision Thank you for your question and photos. From what I can see you had a vertical lift with only a lollipop incision. The bunched skin is gathered together to avoid a longer transverse (inverted T) incision. This skin will eventually smooth out in most patients, but will take time. After 8-12 months, if there is still skin that has not settled, you can have a small scar revision under local anesthesia if needed. Good luck.

Answer: Lollipop lift with bunched up skin Thank you for your question. Part of the technique of lollipop breast lift is gathering up the extra skin in the lower pole of the breast. This causes wrinkles that nearly always go away over 6-8 weeks. Which brings me to a common rule I tell patients after surgery. Things always look very different early on (Before 6 -8 weeks) with most surgery. Have faith and nearly all of the things you see now that are not to your liking will go away. It is normal to look at the area you had surgery every day and think, "did I do the right thing" or "was it worth it" etc. It is a very emotional time and, after all, that's just normal human nature. However, "Don't look at it!" I know, easier said than done, but thankfully nearly all of the things you see will get better and there is no reason to burden yourself with unnecessary worry. Best of luck.
