I had a full breast lift and augmentation a year and a half ago. The scars are now pretty light, however the skin all the way down the length of the vertical scar is a darker color than the rest of my skin. Is it possible my surgeon did not remove enough of my original areola skin and that is causing the discoloration? I noticed a couple hairs that are similar to the ones around areola there too. If so would it be reasonable to expect my surgeon to fix it without it costing me a new surgery fee?

Hi.
Thank you for your pictures and your question.
Looking at your pictures, I would recommend you a T-inverted breast lift with implants. In my experience, it is better to choose decent sized implants (300-380 cc) in order to avoid sagging, expanding areolas or wide scars...
The ultrasound may help so you should give it a shot. An exam in person is really the only way to determine if you have a capsule or not. If it is truly a capsular contracture, then a revision will likely be necessary. Best of luck.
