I am three months post op and I am not really satisfied with my results, I feel like my left side is smaller than my right side & I also have a flat spot on my left side that is very noticeable when naked, will a revision help fix the problem?
Answer: Will a revision help to fix my problem? Hello, thank you for your question. Having the BBL done a second time is an option as long as you have enough fat to be transferred. You will usually need at least 3 months after the first BBL before getting a revision. The revision implies that there is less fat than the first time, and scar tissue will make the surgery much more difficult on the surgeon. The percentage of fat survival in the BBL the second time should be about the same. Select a board certified plastic surgeon who has performed numerous successful BBL revisions is key to the outcome.

Answer: Will a revision help to fix my problem? 3 months is still very early in the healing process after a BBL. You can lose fat volume up to 6 months after the transfer and swelling can be present for 6 months to one year. Give things time to heal and if you still unhappy, you can consider a 2nd BBL in the future.

Answer: Flat Spot/Asymmetry after BBL Congratulations on your BBL, Jaybee. I am sorry to hear that you are not happy with your results. Three months is still early to fully evaluate your results, and there may be quite a bit of change yet to come as the swelling resolves, the fat grafts stabilize, and the skin remodels or relaxes. It is not expected that your smaller side will enlarge, but the larger size may decrease. Depending on why there is a flat spot, there is a possibility that the skin will relax some and allow a more convex shape to develop. However, if this skin was pretty tight to begin with, there were tight bands, or you had significant concavities in this area, you will likely require additional treatments in order to obtain a final full, convex/round appearance. A review of your pre-op photos would be helpful -- if your buttock on the left was narrower, shorter, and/or had appreciable reduced volume compared to the right pre-operatively, there may be limits to what can be achieved, even with a revision. Your surgeon would be in the best position to make this determination. Generally, it is advisable to wait at least six months, and even up to one year, before considering a revision or additional surgery. Best of luck, and i hope you are realize the results you were hoping for. Dr. Ghafoori

Answer: Will a revision help to fix my problem? (Photo) Hi. After 3 month from surgery is too soon to evaluate you or to perform a revision. Pairs in the body do not recover at the same time, you must wait at least 6 month or more, to let the recovery period ends and the fat integration finalize. Revision is possible for correction.
