Question

Its been 1 month since i got my nose done and im not happy with the shape is it too early for me to jedge the shap of it cuz its still sowllen and thick i really wanna hear that the shape will change after some times

Thank you for sharing your concerns about your recent rhinoplasty procedure. Given that your surgery was only one month ago, you are likely still seeing a significant amount of swelling. As I am sure your surgeon mentioned, this swelling is to be expected and is completely normal for up to one year after surgery. As the swelling goes down over the next few months, you should be able to appreciate some refinement in your nasal features. I recommend following up with your surgeon at his/her recommended intervals and you should certainly discuss your concerns. However, I am fairly confident that once the swelling subsides you will be happier with the results. Happy healing!

It is always difficult to assess the final result so early in the healing process.  Swelling can take up to a year to resolve. At one month following rhinoplasty, the junction between the tip and the dorsum will likely be swollen.  You will probably need 6 months or more to assess this more predictably.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

I would be patient since you will likely have changes in the appearance over your nose - not only over the next few months, but the next year. Hello and thank you for your question. Yes you are right that it is too early to judge, as one month post surgery there  is likely to be some swelling. It can take upto 6 months for all the swelling to settle and the final shape of the nose to become apparent. So I would not worry at the moment and allow the healing to take place.All the best.
