Swelling or edema of the soft tissues is common after rhinoplasty. It is not unusual for the swelling to descend down into the cheeks and jaws, especially if you are upright, because of gravity. It will subside.

Dear sheikhagie, You are fairly swollen at this time and due to gravity the swelling has concentrated in the lower portion of your face. If you have concerns I would suggest seeing your surgeon for a follow up appointment. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.
