I was thinking to get Clear and Brilliant Laser and was curious how deep it goes. What layer of the epidermis does it reach (1-5), or does it reach the dermis?
Answer: Clear and brilliant laser The Clear+Brilliant laser is a fantastic option for treatment of pigmented sun spots/freckling, fine lines, and general skin rejuvenation. There’s no downtime and no downside to using it. It stimulates collagen and gives a smoother more radiant appearance to the complexion as well as improving skin texture. There are two handpieces and each one goes to a different depth. The 1927 nm is called the Permea, and it targets pigment more superficially. It creates microscopic channels in the skin which allow for deep penetration and highly multiplied uptake of pure molecules such as vitamin C. By both targeting pigment directly and allowing amazing uptake of antioxidants, this treatment will brighten skin and gives an overall radiance. The original handpiece, just called Clear+Brilliant, targets at 1440 nm and as a result it directly stimulates collagen production like any other non-ablative fractionated laser. It just does so in a more gentle way and that’s why it takes 3-6 sessions to achieve the desired result. It too will ultimately achieve pigment reduction, but slower than the Permea does. However, it is the handpiece that achieves improvement in the appearance of fine lines, pores, and texture, while also affecting pigment. This is the treatment that rejuvenates the skin from the inside out, stimulating collagen with each session. You can have one or both treatments either in an alternating or a same-day fashion depending on what your skin assessment reveals is best for you. It can be done as a standalone treatment or as part of a comprehensive skin care regimen which also includes other procedures such as microneedling, PRP, IPL, Radio frequency needling, and advanced skincare products.

Answer: Clear and Brilliant targets the epidermis Clear and Brilliant targets the epidermis. This is a minimal downtime laser which gently improves skin tone and texture with a single 10-20-minute treatment. It is 2 devices in 1, offering both the 1440nm handpiece for skin rejuvenation and the 1927nm Permea handpiece for pigmentation improvement. For best results, you need four treatments, one month apart. As always, an in-person consultation with a board certified dermatologist with cosmetic training is the best way to assess your needs and provide medical advice.
