Can laughing gas make your heart stop or make you feel like you died?

During chin lipo (24 female, healthy, average weight, no meds) I believe I may have been given too much? I lost control of my body, my ability to talk, then slowly saw blackness without being able to do anything. I thought I died right there. I felt so detached from my body, saw darkness, and no memory of anything on earth or about myself. After a few moments (it felt like longer) I took a huge breath and felt life again, bring able to see light. After that I was conscious (in a trance state).

Liposuction of the chin and neck is easily done with local anesthesia only. General anesthesia is not indicated. Anxious patients can be given a bit of oral sedation prior to the procedure.
