There are a lot of factors that go into the cost of getting breast implants, including the type of implant, surgical techniques and the qualifications of the plastic surgeon. Without knowing the price that you’re using to compare, it’s difficult to give you an idea of whether or not this is a realistic offer. It’s important that you don’t choose your plastic surgeon based solely on price, because when it comes to breast implants, you really do get what you pay for. In the long run, you’re going to be much happier with the results you’ll get from an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon who takes the time to listen to your goals before designing a custom-tailored surgical plan to fit your needs. I would recommend searching right here in Dallas for a qualified plastic surgeon to save you the added complications of traveling to the other side of the country for your procedure. Best of luck!
Thanks for your inquiry, you do did not state a price for us to compare. I guess it is possible there is a few practices that have a extremely low prices in Miami or anywhere for that matter, but my research shows that rates between Miami and Dallas are similar if you add anesthesia and facility costs. A procedure could be less cost if you also pick saline implants. You need to consider in the cost of flying to Miami, risks of that travel, and proper follow up. There are excellent surgeons all over of our great nation-ultimately do not let price be the most important factor, but simply one one of your factors in choosing surgery, good luck!
Hello, there are many factors that determine the cost of implants:- saline implants are cheaper than silicone implants or structured (Ideal) implants - getting implants with just local anesthetic is cheaper than having a proper anesthetist making sure you are comfortable- surgery in a properly staffed, accredited clinic is more expensive than in a clinic without the same standards - surgery done in a remote clinic without the same number of proper preoperative and postoperative assessments is going to be cheaper, but you don't get the same care. All of these issues can affect the quality of the result and complications, so they are worth considering.
First and foremost, I believe a patient’s priority when researching plastic surgery is developing a positive and trustworthy relationship with their surgeon. With your doctor, you should feel comfortable discussing questions, have a clear understanding of the procedure and understand post-op recommendations. Pricing may fluctuate across markets, surgeon experience and expertise, commodities, and the type of procedure - saline vs silicone implants for example
There are many variables that contribute to surgicalfees: the extent of the procedure, the type of implant, geographic location of the surgicalpractice, the credentials and level of training of the surgeon, his or herexpertise and reputation, the fee for the anesthesia provider, and facilitycharge (the facility should be accredited by a national accreditingorganization like the American Association for Accreditation of AmbulatorySurgery Facilities (AAAASF)). It is important to compare “apples to apples”.You should find the most qualified individual to perform a surgical procedure, not the least expensive. Your health and safety depend on it.If your selection of a surgeon is determinedprimarily by high or low fees, ultimately, you may be disappointed with yourchoice. Shopping for bargains should be saved for sandals and t-shirts notprocedures that require scientific knowledge, training, judgment, artistry andexpertise.I would suggest that you find a plastic surgeoncertified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and ideally a member of theAmerican Society for Aesthetic PlasticSurgery (ASAPS) thatyou trust and are comfortable with. You should discuss your concerns with thatsurgeon in person. Robert Singer, MD FACSLa Jolla, California
Thanks for the great question. So you need to see what types of implants they are using in Miami. The cost of a silicone implant is about 2x the cost of a saline implant. So if you are pricing out doctors in Dallas who use silicone, but then are looking at prices in Miami who use saline, there's going to be a big difference. There is also the concept of commodities. In Miami there is a high supply of plastic surgeons performing the procedure and a high demand from patients wanting breast augmentation. This supply and demand model helps to increase competition and ultimately drives down the cost of surgery. The main thing to keep in mind is that this is your body. I've never seen a patient who was really happy to have a complication after paying a super low rate for surgery. You want to make sure you have the best surgeon possible and that they do an amazing job for you the FIRST time you have surgery. Surgery is a big deal, make sure the person doing it is qualified. Best of luck!~Dr. Sieber
