I currently weight about 119 lbs and 5'3 ..I recently received a BA 5 weeks ago. Not sure if I made the right decision or not. Do you think 286 cc is too large for my small frame. I was very small droopy b. I'm little overwhelmed by this extra weight and I'm wondering if it's a lot of swelling still.
Answer: Feeling top heavy soon after breast augmentation It is very normal to feel that your breasts are either too large or too small in the weeks to months after surgery. This is a part of the physical and emotional process of accepting a change in your body. I usually talk to women about the normal emotional roller coaster that happens after cosmetic surgery. Give yourself a few months to settle in and become comfortable with the changes, and to allow the swelling to dissipate. Most likely, you will have a completely different outlook in a little while and be very happy! Dr. Michelle Spring

Answer: Feeling a bit top heavy after breast augmentation? Hopefully it will help you to know that many patients feel that they are “too large” or “too small” during the first few weeks after breast augmentation surgery. The majority of these patients go on to be very pleased with the longer-term outcome of the procedure performed. I would suggest that you give yourself 3 to 6 months to undergo the physical and psychological body image adjustment necessary. In other words, evaluate the outcome of the procedure several months from now; most likely, you will end up pleased with the procedure performed. Best wishes.

Answer: Breast augmentation sizing Hi thereThanks for your query. It is still very early days following your surgery. I would suggest you let things settle and get used to what you have. The implant you had is probably smaller than average but as you are petite this can sometimes take time to get used to even though you would have discussed sizing pre-operativelyKeep talking to your surgeon and I am sure they will reassure youTake care

Answer: Breast Augmentation - Did I Go Too Large? You stated in your RealSelf note that you were a very small droopy "B". A small B plus 286 ccs, on average, would equal a medium to full C if you wear a 34 bra. There are so many variables such as chest width, store at which you purchase the bra, etc., but basically you have gone up 1-1/4 sizes. Whether you have gone too large or not very often has to do with your attitude towards breast sizes. It has been my experience that there is usually an intersection at some point during the first three months of recovery. As the swelling goes down and as one gets comfortable with the new look, there is an increased level of satisfaction with the new breast size. At that point, my patients usually state, "they are not going to get any smaller are they?" At five weeks, you are still physically uncomfortable and swollen. Please give yourself and your breasts a break. Don't worry. You are going to get smaller.
