I have my surgery in a little over 3 weeks and I am still unsure about what size to go with. I had 2 sizing appointments already. My PS said the largest he would possibly go is 310 UHP or 285 HP. I wanted at least 300cc however I have read terrible things about UHP. Also, my PS didn't care for UHP anyways, he said they would look fake on me for sure so I definitely don't want that profile but will 285 HP be proportionate to my body? Will it be too small? Stats: 20 years old 5'3 100pounds 11 bwd
Answer: Choosing the right implant is a very delicate issue To select which implant is best for you can be done only in person when you get measured and sizer implants are used.As to the UHP vs HP, we've stopped using UHP because they can flip and the causes significant breast distortion

Answer: Breast Augmentation, Dr. Adibfar, Plastic Surgeon Toronto Hello; It is very difficult to give you a specific opinion without performing a compressive evaluation and measurement of your breasts followed by specific sizing with different implants. It is understandable that you very excited about picking the "right size" implant however you should be aware that the differences in volume you are discussing are very minor once the implants are in position and hardly noticeable in cloths or even a bikini top!I will be more focused in obtaining a nicely "shaped" breast rather than just the right "size" .Also remember that the exact same implant in 10 different patients would result in 10 different looking breasts! That's because some important factors that dictates the final esthetics of your breasts are your native breast shape and size as well their relashionship to the surrounding structures such as your shoulders , arms, torso, abdomen.... And your posture. If you trust your Plastic Surgeon then you should follow his recommendations.I hope this helps.Best wishes.

Answer: Implant size I am not sure why patients get hung up wanting only a certain number of cc's. The difference in the size you want and the size that your PS chose is 1\2 shot of nyquil. I would go with your PS - who measured you in person.

Answer: Implant Selection Thank you for your question. It is much better to accurately discuss implant volume and projection with an in office exam and detailed measurements. In order to make an accurate size recommendation, I would need to assess your chest wall and breast mound measurements/characteristics. I use these measurements to help me during the sizing process to guide you to a safe result for your chest wall and just as important, one that meets your end desires. The next step is to try on this range of implants in the office with your doctor. The key to this success is showing your surgeon the body proportion you desire with a bra sizer and allowing your surgeon to guide you to the right implant. It will be much easier to communicate in implant cc's than cup size when determining the appropriate implant for you during the sizing process. In addition, review of photos and use of rice bags can be very helpful to the patient and surgeon in achieving a safe and happy result. Close intereaction and involvement from your surgeon during this process can help alleviate the anxiety and fears of choosing the right size. I wish you a safe recovery and fantastic result.Dr. Gill
