I was wondering if it is as effective if I do 1 vial per treatment instead of two? I understand that most ppl do 2 vials, but it would be more cost effective for me if I do the same # of treatments, but instead split it into a longer period by doing 1 vial per mo. vs. 2 at once per treatment. I still plan on doing all the treatments & I understand I won't see changes with just 1 vial. I just want to spread it out to make the cost more management. BUT only if it still works with 1 vial at a time.

I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any injectable. It also costs about the same as what you paid for your first kybella session. The liposuction can be done under local while awake in the office and recovery is about the same as kybella.Daniel Barrett, MD

If cost is a concern with Kybella, another option would be submental liposuction. Submental liposuction generally costs about the same as 2-3 treatments of Kybella at 2 vials per treatment. While some patients go on to need 4, 5, or 6 treatment sessions of Kybella, this is not the case with submental liposuction. There is one recovery period and minimal down time.While patients are often afraid of this procedure, the discomfort is on the same level as Kybella and most of my patients fall asleep during liposuction with only a little medication to help them relax.
