How do I remove the halo above my lips after fillers?

My lips look awful with this extreme filling above my look after many previous treatments. I have noticed that there is a heavy “halo” above my lips. It looks very obvious I’ve gotten my lips done and i don’t like it. The doctor that did my injections, did the droplet effect in my lips. (When you go in and out only on the outline of the lips) How do I fix this and how soon can I refill the upper lip after getting it corrected?

I'm not sure when you had your injections. It takes 1-2 weeks for final results with lip fillers. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

If it has already been 7-14 days after the treatment and you still have this "halo" effect, then I would return to your injector to have some of the filler reversed using hyaluronidase.

If your lips were augmented using any one of the hyaluronic acid fillers, you can simply ask your doctor to dissolve the hyaluronic acid with the use of hyaluronidase. Good luck from New York City

If this is lasting more than a few days, it can be removed with a hyaluronidase injection to dissolve the filler.

Thanks for your question. This is caused by having too much filler injected in to the vermillion border of your lip (the outline). Options for you going forward are to have this dissolved with Hyalase however this will also settle over the next month or so as it integrates in to your lips. If you do opt for correction it would be best to leave it 4 weeks before considering getting more filler in the same area

When there is significant volume added to the lips, this "halo effect" can develop. As the swelling decreases this will improve and reduce but if it is still not fully resolved then the best option would be to use hyaluronidase to dissolve the excess dermal filler. An experienced practitioner can use just a little hyaluronidaise to reduce the volume without completely removing the dermal filler. I would also advise a patch test first.
