Question

It was painful getting the cheeks done felt similar to nerve pain, It's been 2 days now and my cheeks are swollen, hard to touch and painful (my lips are also swollen but not that painful) am worried about my cheeks as they feel really sore even my eye area feels sore and I have had a headache n don't feel too well (I could be coming down with something I don't know) do they look normal in the pictures? And does that all sound normal? Thanks

This can be typical after fillers. Icing and cold compresses may give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

Pain from swelling is normal. And 2 days post injections you are probably at your height of swelling. I tell my clients to wait a full 2 weeks after injections for swelling and bruising to come down, and after two weeks that is when you will see your final results. If you are still concerned or any additional problems come up, I would advise scheduling a follow up appointment with your provider.
