Hi shawncjack, Breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements. Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match. Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. 25cc is less than 2 tablespoons and will not make a big difference in size. In consultation, after discussing goals with my patients and measuring them, we then look at pictures of women with similar measurements with different size implants. This process has proven very useful for my patients in determining the right size implant for them.Dr. Ted Eisenberg, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Author
Hello and thank you for your question. Thebest advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. 25cc will not likely make a large volume difference in your breast. I recommendthat you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon whocan evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Thanks for your inquiry, first bra sizes are not standardized. Next cup size really refers to the amount of projection-how far the breast sticks out. A 400 cc ultra high profile implant has 5.4 cm of projection will a 425 cc moderate classic has only 3.4 cm of projection, 2 cm less! Without knowing the particulars of your goals it is hard to advise, please ask your surgeon and best of luck.
If you're considering another operation for the sole purpose of increasing the volume of your breasts it would be very unwise to add 25 mL. There would be an almost imperceptible difference.
25cc is less than one ounce it will make a negligible change in the appearance of your breasts. When my patients want larger volume implants I recommend to go at least 20% larger, even then that won't necessarily bring you up a whole cup size. Good luck, Jane
Twenty-five cc is a very small volume, about 1.7 tablespoons. There is no real "cc-per-cup-size" calculation, as it depends on a variety of factors, but I would think it takes at least 100-150cc to bump up one size. Hope this helps.
25cc is just over a tablespoon of fluid and as you can appreciate will not increase your breasts by a cup size.
25cc barely makes a difference in size; it's like putting on another coat of nail polish. By the time the 25cc of volume is dispersed over the entire surface area of the implant, the difference is barely perceptible, especially with larger or wider implants. Be sure to check with your board certified plastic surgeon for their specific recommendations.Hope this is helpful, best of luck!
Hi-25cc will not change your result at all and is almost imperceptible. If your between a 25cc difference in implants I usually recommend to go with the larger size as the number one complaint in regards to volume following breast augmentation surgery is the girls generally wish they went just "a little" bigger. Hope this was helpful. Good Luck!
Hello,Yes, you do demonstrate some hypertrophic scarring. I advise silicone sheeting to be applied for 4-6 months post op for many of my patients because it seems to be the most effective for raised, red scars. You could try and see if this is effective for you. I recommend that you see your p...
Hello there From the preop photo I think you may have some chest wall asymmetry which will affect the way the nipple 'points' .Only by a close examination can one tell if revision is likely to be of value . Your result is pretty good . So I would only consider revision if it bothers you a lot a...
