My ps agrees it doesn't look "happy" and will meet me again soon to review. I'm wondering whether it's worth going under the knife or whether it's good enough? I had slight asymmetry to begin with but the right just looks a little weird now, pointing in another direction. Bit fuller up top, unsure if it's higher. Can it be fixed or could I risk it getting worse?
Answer: Asymmetry Hello there From the preop photo I think you may have some chest wall asymmetry which will affect the way the nipple 'points' .Only by a close examination can one tell if revision is likely to be of value . Your result is pretty good . So I would only consider revision if it bothers you a lot and if your surgeon is confident that it can be improved .CheersTS

Answer: Breast Position Concerns Hello,Thank you for your question and photos. Your implants to appear to be sitting slightly too low and the right has migrated medially. I recommend that you see your plastic surgeon in person to talk about addressing these concerns. All the best

Answer: Breast augmentation: Should I get my right breast revised? I am sorry to hear about your concerns after breast augmentation surgery. Based on your photographs, I think that there is significant room for improvement with revisionary breast surgery. In my opinion, your breasts implants are positioned too low and to far medially. Revisionary breast surgery, in my hands, would likely involve capsulorraphy (adjustments of the breast implant capsules), improvement of breast implant positioning, and better "centralization" of the nipple/areola complexes on each breast mound. Will revisionary breast surgery be "worth it"? In my practice, I advise patients to carefully consider their degree of concern with the outcome of the initial breast surgery and weigh these concerns against the potential risks/complications associated with the planned revisionary breast surgery. For example, if the patient is concerned about her breast appearance on a daily or frequent basis, it is likely that revisionary surgery will be helpful when it comes to improving her quality of life. On the other hand, if the patient's degree of concern seems minor and/or she is infrequently concerned about the areas of concern, I would recommend against revisionary breast surgery. IF you choose to proceed with revisionary breast surgery, make sure that your plastic surgeon has a significant/demonstrable experience helping patients with this type of revisionary breast surgery. Best wishes with your decision-making and for outcome that you will be pleased with long-term.

Answer: Revision for mild asymmetry? Based on your photos you have a very nice result. You certainly have some asymmetry, with the right nipple pointing a bit laterally. There are a number of factors which influence nipple position and breast shape after augmentation, some of which are more correctable than others. In your case, your implants appear to be well-positioned and evenly placed. You may have an asymmetry in the shape of your rib cage, a very common situation. If your right rib cage is oriented laterally, it will project the implant laterally, as well. If that is the case, there is no revisionary surgery that will correct it. Keep in mind that every surgery has risks, no matter how minor the procedure may be. If you are talking about very minor potential improvement, the risks of infection, capsular contracture, and anesthetic complications may outweigh the potential benefits.

Answer: Breast augmentation candidate? Far more important than the technique is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let them explain why one technique may be better than another. See the below link on some suggestions on finding the most qualified Plastic Surgeon for a Breast Augmentation. Always insist on a board certified plastic surgeon.
