So Im worried that the scar to the right looks worse than the one to the left, and Im scared that there’s something wrong. Is it normal to have a raised scar almost 5 months after surgery or is it some kind of hypertrophic scar?

Answer: Scar treatment Dear hannah_9621,based on your description and photos, it would be best that you visit your plastic surgeon for an in person examination. This way, your surgeon can assess your scars properly and determine the best course of action to address and resolve your concerns. You might need steriod injections to flatten the scar. Answer: Raised scar Thank you for your question and photographs. Your photographs do indicate hypertrophic scar development. My advice is to follow-up with your plastic surgeon and consider steroid injection to help flatten the scar. Best of luck.
