Hi, I’m a 26 year old male looking to see what can be achieved through revision rhinoplasty. I had my first rhinoseptoplasty at 14 years old to correct a large dorsal hump on my nose & deviated septum. It's been 12+ years since that procedure, and my nose has grown to be crooked. I am also unhappy with the front profile as it is too wide and lacks a well-defined / structured bridge. Can surgery make this appear thinner? I’ve attached photoshopped versions of what I’d hope to achieve. Thanks!

Answer: Osteotomies for nasal narrowing. Sometimes people need repositioning of their bony nasal side walls with osteotomies. This is typically performed with osteotomies where instruments are used to infracture the nasal sides for a narrower nasal appearance. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph

Answer: Can a revision rhinoplasty make the bridge of my nose look thinner and more defined? Based on your present frontal photo I see no reason why you cannot achieve your photoshopped image (all views are imperative for a truly informed discussion). 1. Nasal deviation: requires open rhinoplasty with *complete* exposure of the nasal septum. The septum must be straightened by scoring and greensticking and secured in position with cartilage grafts. All nasal structure must be replaced "curing" any born(congenital) malformation/asymmetry of the nasal structures 2. Nasal bones are wide and require osteotomy 3. Insertion of upper lateral cartilages into the pyriform aperture are too wide and must be released form the aperture 4. Nasal tip sculpted with suture techniques and possible cartilage grafting This is a rough outline to be further defined with photographs and a thorough examination Let me know if this addresses your question
