At five months, your abdominal wall subcutaneous tissues treated by liposuction are still swollen. You do not yet see your final result. Still, you can try non-invasive radiofrequency, RF-plasma, ultrasound, or other energy based skin tightening sessions. If pregnancy may be in your future, the abdomen will stretch and change dramatically. The best way to eventually smooth, tighten, flatten, and shape the abdomen is abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) or some modified version of the procedure. This operation is best delayed until you're not expecting any more babies
Thank you for your question and photos. The procedure should have been discussed prior to surgery. It looks like your surgeon tried to sculpt an athletic abdomen. Unfortunately, he/she did not follow the normal, natural underlying muscle anatomy. He created two vertical depressions/creases, to define the semilunar lines, but in the wrong place, giving an unnatural look to your abdomen, When the lines are closer to the midline than it should be naturally, it is harder to correct. You will need the surgery redone (which is more difficult than first time) and I would consult with a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience in advanced body sculpting techniques. Good luck.
Based on your two post photos, I recommend virtual consultation or better examination. My recommendation would be either a J plasma or Endo laser treatment to help with the fibrosis and irregularities of the skin. Fee $5000-$8000. Best of virtual consultant.
To make a quality assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure we generally do better when given proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before and after pictures, then ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. That said it looks like your provider did what is often referred to as high definition, liposuction a.k.a. etching. And this procedure fat is aggressively removed at muscle intersection lines. This type of treatment is fairly permanent and often irreversible. It’s almost impossible to restore fat where it was removed this aggressively.Your provider should’ve discussed this with you during the consultation. They should’ve also shown you a lot of before and after pictures so you had an understanding of what the results would look like. It’s going to be difficult to make this look natural.Grafting fat where it was excessively removed isn’t going to be successful. There is simply no tissue left to support grafted fat.The only option that’s left is further Liposuction, which can make things worse.Any assessment or discussion of a secondary or revision procedure should be done with great care and caution.Unless someone can truly prove that they have the skill to improve your outcome at your best option is to avoid more surgery.Attempts at improving Liposuction results are difficult and can easily make things worse.Provider selection is the most important variable and finding the right provider can also be very difficult. At this point, your results are final and are not going to change by waiting further.Liposuction results are final by three months.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
