Firm bump on side of nose - What could it be and would I need another rhinoplasty to fix it? (Photo)

Question

I had a rhinoplasty in 2016 where alloderm was used to add height to the bridge of my nose. I have also had filler added to my nose in 2024 to help straighten my bridge. I noticed this bump has now formed on my nose within the past year. It doesn't hurt and feels like it's along my nasal cartilage. What could it be and would I need another rhinoplasty to fix it? I also sometimes wear glasses so not sure if the pressure of them created this.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph, that may be an area of scar tissue. It could be improved with a well designed revision. Make sure you are going to a surgeon with hundreds of long-term before and after pictures on their website with standardized lighting and standardized backgrounds. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
