I am 5’6”, 128 lbs, wear a 30c bra, my breast widths measure 12.8 and 13. I want to look voluptuous, but the largest cc implant the 3 surgeons I’ve seen will place is Sientra’s 440HP. I am really looking for a result like Scarlett Johansson. Will this likely give me that? Also, one surgeon recommends using Matrix material…known as the internal bra. Any thoughts? The other two don’t find it so necessary.
Answer: Any choice? It seems to me that, if you've seen three surgeons and they all agree that 440HP is the largest implant that will fit your frame then I'm not sure you have much choice - it will either be big (or voluptuous) enough for you or it won't. At least you'll know that you couldn't have gone bigger. 440cc is a pretty large implant for someone of your frame so you'll certainly know you've had it done! The use of internal bra really depends on the quality of your tissues. If you have tight, elastic skin (usually no kids and no significant weight loss) then implant alone is probably fine. If your skin is a bit loose and crepey then an implant of this size is liable to pull down on the breast tissue and cause the breasts to drop earlier - in this case an internal bra can increase the lifespan of the look you want by taking the weight of the implants off the overlying tissues. Good luck

Answer: Selecting an implant Selecting the right implant for you is a complex process. It is important that you discuss your goals for surgery with your surgeon. She/He will combine that information with your measurements to provide you with implant options. The implant that you mentioned will provide maximum projection and will increase you multiple cup sizes. Many surgeon's have sample implants in the office you can "try on" to get a feel for how you may look after surgery.

Answer: Breast implant size - would 440cc HP give me the voluptuous result I am looking for? Hello @Cheerful228286 thank you for your question. Without a proper assessment an expert opinion is not possible. Answer: Size Your surgeons who have examined and measured you will be the best ones to tell you what maximum size your frame and tissue should support. However, I feel the 440 probably will be a very full breast for you. You don't want something too large and heavy for your neck and shoulders and wind up with big balls on your chest.

Answer: More conservative size At size 30, each 100 cc of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. 440 cc implants would take you up 4 1/2 cup sizes. 440 cc implants weight 1 lb each, will most likely not fit retro-pectoral and will descend inferior and laterally. I would recommend a more conservative size. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.
