Hello, I am 5 feet 2, 160 pounds and had 3 BBLs (two diff doctors) over the last 10 years. My butt the first time didn't have any change and then the second doctor made it large but one cheek was smaller so we tried to even it out. I am not looking for a reduction because it is very large for my small legs and body frame. I want to reduce the lumps and smooth it out and reduce it to as small as I can but still have a nice shape to it. I do not see many reviews on this only found one.
Answer: BBL revision Dear Cautiousyounglady, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Buttock reduction after 3 BBLs Thank you for your query. You can certainly have some liposuction done to decrease the amount of fat in your buttocks, but there may be some skin laxity and loss of shape with liposuction alone. I usually do an invasive radiofrequency treatment like ThermiTight when doing liposuction for the buttocks. This approach may also help you with the “lumps” and smoothen the contours. Please find an experienced board certified plastic surgeon near you who can examine you and help you with all your concerns. All the best!

Answer: Complicated situation To make an accurate assessment on the outcome of the surgical procedure we need to see quality before and after pictures. Pictures need to include your entire body not just the area of concern. The buttocks needs to be taken into context by having comparison to your thighs and torso. Pictures should include your body being cropped at your neck and at your knees. For patients who had multiple procedures, patients should include proper before and after pictures for each of the operations. If you don’t have proper before, and after pictures, then ask your surgeons to forward the ones they took. The pictures are part of your medical records which you can get copies of by simply requesting. Each time someone has surgery on the same area things become more complicated and difficult. It looks like you had liposuction of your outer thigh with the intent of making your buttocks look larger. In my opinion, this is a bad idea and leads to an unnatural body contour. Cellulite is made worse by having fat transfer an individuals who have cellulite should consider not having a BBL or getting cellulite treatment. Each time you continue to have surgery, especially when done by providers who don’t respect keeping natural body contours. Your chance of a successful outcome goes down. I suggest you talk to your previous providers who are in the end responsible for your outcome. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
