Hello. Based on your photo, it looks like you have tear trough deformities, with some possible fat pseudoherniation. Hyaluronic acid fillers are an effective option to camouflage this appearance. Make sure you see an experienced injector working under a board certified cosmetic doctor for formal in office consultation. The specific filler is an important factor as some can make the area look more swollen. Also, an in office exam is only way to determine if you also have some hyperpigmentation that is contributing to the dark circle look--if so, fillers won't improve this. Take care.
Hi, Thank you for your question. Dermal filler or Fat graft is a good option for tear trough deformity. Fat graft is a Surgical procedure done under general anaesthesia . It is a day care surgery. Best of luck.
Thank you for your question! Fillers can help with dark circles and fine lines. Ultimately, a consultation is needed for you to make the get the best treatment options for you. All the best!
In my opinion you're a great candidate for a Hyaluronic Acid based filler in this area. It would help eliminate the shadowing and give you a more rested appearance. I find that filler in this area, when done correctly, tends to last a very long time. Thanks for including a picture with your question!
A combination approach will give the most improvement. Fillers, lasers, and microneedling/PRP can improve under the eyes. My patients try to get non surgical treatments to avoid surgery. We use PRP and stem cells there often. I suggest consulting with an expert to develop a treatment plan best suited for your short and long term goals. Best, Dr. Emer
I think you'd benefit from some tear trough filler, but also you might consider some PRP/microneedling. Your dermatologist can also guide you about using the right creams/serums under your eyes to improve hydration and help with the fine lines and darkening to some degree.
Based on your one photo(would like to see a photo from the side), it appears you have some volume deficit in the area you are concerned about which is called a "tear trough" deformity. This volume deficit can be improved with a filler. It is important though you be evaluated by a board certified facial plastic surgeon to be sure what the cause of your "dark circles" are and to have an experienced injector choose the right type of filler and amount for the area you are concerned about. Hope this helps in your decision making.
Dark circles under the eye are caused by hollowness, excess pigmentation, wrinkles and blue veins. In order to improve the appearance, it is necessary to have the correct diagnosis and treatment. Hollowness can be treated with filler. Pigmentation is treated with bleaches, peels and lasers. Wrinkles are treated with laser resurfacing, peels, eyelid tightening etc. Blue veins are treated best treated by a skilled laser surgeon with experience using Nd:YAG lasers safely and effectively around the eyes.
I think that filler would be helpful in your tear troughs. I would Restylane and cannulas for this. Some of the darkness might also be pigmentation and that needs good skin care and maybe lasers or peels. You definitely have a tear trough deformity which would respond partial to filler.
I think a small amount of a hyaluronic acid based filler like Restylane could improve the appearance of your tear troughs.
Hi @Lili786! Although this is a very rare complication, blindness from a vascular occlusion would happen immediately. I hope this was helpful.
Hi @nlgpa! Restylane Lyft, Restylane Contour, and Juvederm Voluma all look great in the cheeks! I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Bromelain is anti inflammatory but is not a member of the NSAID (Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drug) family which can increase bleeding or bruising. It also reduces bruising and speeds its resolution as does Arnica. For these reasons, we highly recommend both before and for several days af...
