If there is embolization of a gel filler into the central retinal artery during a treatment, change in vision may happen immediately. This is a rare complication of injectable gel fillers that is not associated with microdroplet Silikon1000 - a permanent FDA approved liquid silicone filler. Silikon1000 is also not associated with necrosis, or dead skin from blocking an artery - the size of a Silikon-1000 molecule is smaller than a red blood cell so vascular occlusion or blindness does not occur when used properly. Thank you. Dr Joseph
Hi @Lili786! Although this is a very rare complication, blindness from a vascular occlusion would happen immediately. I hope this was helpful.
It would happen immediately. Very rare though and even more so when the doctor uses a cannula to inject rather than a needle.
This is extremely rare, but it would happen immediately. It will take 1-2 weeks for final results after fillers. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer
This is a very rare complication but can be limited by correct techniques, cannula usage and placement . If it happens it’s usually an immediate occurrence
If a rare occasion of an accidental filler being injected into a blood vessel occurs, the patients lose their eyesight practically mediately. I hope this does not happen to anyone and good luck from New York City
Usually, blindness will begin to occur within the first hour, if it is to occur. It is very rare, however.
Thanks for your question. Blindness as a filler complication is very rare and most often associated with filler placed in between the brows or very close to the nose, the "danger zones". If it were to occur, it would be immediate onset, not hours and days later.Best,Lisa Vuich, MD
Hi @nlgpa! Restylane Lyft, Restylane Contour, and Juvederm Voluma all look great in the cheeks! I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
We tell patient to use this 2-3 days before and 2-3 days after. Also use LED red light to help. Best, Dr. Emer.
Acne scars need a combination approach for improvement. For the best results, one should target the acne scar type. As everyone has a unique pattern of acne scarring, the best solution is a tailored one. Typically you need fillers like bellafill and sculptra for atrophic indented type scars...
I am sorry that you have had to ask this question but please be reassured that this is very unlikely to negatively impact your results. I hope you have had a nice result from your tear trough revision.
Thanks for your question and photograph. You may get some improvement in the jowls from filler (liquid facelift) but generally the results are not dramatic and an alternative approach should be used if you really want some dramatic lifting of the jowls. A minimally invasive...
Your injector should always open the package for the syringe in front of you. All legitimate fillers come sealed in a sterile package. If your injector opens it in front of you then there is no way they could have tampered with it. There is the other issue however of whether you should trust ...
