Can a 280cc silicone high profile look natural??

Juliexy,Its impossible to tell without an exam but I generally shy away from high profile implants. I prefer moderate profile plus or shaped implants for women with very little breast tissue. I do not think a high profile will look fake in your size range.  However, it is best to make this judgement after review of your measurements and a detailed exam with sizing.Thank you for your question. It is very difficult to accurately discuss implant volume without an exam and detailed measurements.In order to make an accurate size recommendation, I would need to assess your chest wall and breast mound measurements and characteristics. There is not a general rule of thumb or objective criteria to implant selection.Your plastic surgeon will perform several measurements of your chest wall and breast anatomy and determine a range of implants that both fit your chest wall and reach your desired goals.The next step is to try on this range of implants in the office with your doctor. The key to this success is showing your surgeon the body proportion you desire with a bra sizer and allowing your surgeon to guide you to the right implant. It will be much easier to communicate in implant cc's than cup size when determining the appropriate implant for you during the sizing process. Breast implants of different profiles and sizes can and do appear different in different bodies.  Generally, the more breast tissue you have relative to the size of the implant being considered, the greater the likelihood of a more natural result.  Higher profile implants achieve more projection than lower profile ones, but this does not necessarily mean that they are always bound to look fake. As always, an in person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon is the most likely way to have these issues addressed prior to moving forward with surgery.  Best of luck!

Ultimately, careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, and computer imaging) will be critical.  Best to discuss your goals, expectations, concerns, and questions directly with your plastic surgeon, preferably prior to the day of surgery.
Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:
1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work.
2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals.
In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. For example, I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "C or D cup” etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful.
Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice.
3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers.

The High Profile Implant will likely fit your body and dimensions better due to your petite stature.  Going with a smaller size silicone implant such as the 280cc will most likely give you a natural and very aesthetic results.  THe best way to get your desired results is to show the doctor photographs of the lookl you desire and then have your surgeon use intraoperative sizers to acheive that look.

Yes you can get a natural look even with a HP implant, there are techniques to achieve this results. Just make sure to choose the right Plastic surgeon for your surgery.I,

Without photos it is really not possible to give a useful answer.By in large, most feel that a moderate plus implant looks more natural, particularly in a slender patient. That might require use of a smaller implant, perhaps by 25% if the current choice was chosen to match your breast width.Perhaps a further discussion with your surgeon, or a second opinion will be useful.All the best. 

Breast implant size I leave up to the patient in consultation with me. 280cc is a smaller implant that I use. I use the higher profile implants in someone who is droopy or going under the muscle and wants to look a bit less natural.

Your best bet when you are trying to decide on implants is to try on sizers of the exact implant you are considering inside a very tight sports bra. This will give you a close idea of what you will look like. More importantly the dimensions or width of the implants need to match and fit your frame and body.
