I do not recommend getting a fat transfer if you have lupus. Since lupus is an autoimmune disease that can have sever consequences, I would not recommend an invasive procedure such as fat transfer. The procedure and stress of surgery could make the lupus worst. However, I have seen patients that have a history of lupus and have had the surgery without any complications. I just feel the risk is too high.

You can get fat transfer, microneedling, PRP and fillers when you have scleroderma. I have patients without issues doing these treatments. Botox sometimes helps as well around the mouth if you have less "opening" from fibrosis. Best, Dr. Emer.
