Pressure on fat grafts is best avoided for at least a month and maybe two. If the fat is grafted laterally on your hips, then either supine or prone positioning postop should be fine.
While fat transfer can reshape the hips, most patients generally require their buttocks to be improved as well to achieve a smoother result. For this reason, I typically allot about one-third of the fat volume to the hips, while the remaining goes to the actual backside. Thank you for posting your question. After a fat transfer procedure, it takes several months for your body to readjust and settle into its new shape. On average, half of the transferred fat will be reabsorbed. Given these facts, I would recommend not doing any touch up until at least one year...
