Eyebrow transplant concerns at 9 months; is this normal?

Had procedure done 9 months ago. Initially happy, but now. I feel disappointed. I see gaps in the brow area with no growth and no matter what I try I can't get the hairs to lay flat. I tried cutting them short and all sorts of gels and sprays. Based on pictures I see I don't think my brows reflect a transplant. I had hoped for more based on what I had paid for. Is 9 months too early to tell? I'm not confident the brows will change much more nor can I afford a touch up at this point.

It is difficult to assess your results without the benefit of detailed photos. In my experience, transplanted eyebrows grow faster than scalp hair transplant. However, there may still be some growth coming.Please follow up with your surgeon so he may make recommendations and enhance your result.

Agree with my colleagues that I brought restoration is an extremely difficult procedure and should not be trusted to anyone unless you have seen sufficient results a spoken to their patients about their experiences. Perfect angulation and directionality, as well as placement of various zones of the brow must be done to perfection otherwise the results not be worthwhile.If the concern you have with your results or density, without the use of minoxidil in your bra post procedure, your results could take up to 18 months. The brows will continue to soften up to 36 months and take on an more resemble that innate natural brow hair hair.The only way to fix them would be to use electrolysis to eliminate follicles that are there, Or simply to pluck them.

Everything you describe are known possible outcomes from eyebrow restoration.  It's likely that your surgeon told you that any or all of these "annoyances" could happen.  Now, what to do? Step one: catalog your likes and dislikes and go back to your surgeon. He/she may offer some touch ups to get you closer to your goals.  At 9 months, there are still some changes en route.  In the meantime, get a hold of your surgeon and find out what can be done, if anything, to help your brows look the way you wanted them to.

At 9 months it's possible you still will see a little growth, but if you are still seeing significant gaps/patchiness at this point I doubt they will become fully filled in as they finish growing. You should contact your doctor about this- any reputable doctor would want to help you get more desirable results.

Eyebrow transplants are a very specialized procedure and must be done properly in order to get a natural looking result. It is important that angles be correct as well as only using single hair grafts.At 9 months you are getting a pretty good idea of what is to come. You will still have some results for the next few months. I would suggest speaking with the doctor that performed the procedure and go from there.

Eyebrow transplantation is a difficult procedure to perfect. It should only be performed by full-time hair restoration surgeons. Artistic competence with regard to angle, placement, density and graft handling are all important for a successful outcome.Please go back to your surgeon and discuss the situation and see what they offer to help.
