I’ve had a rhinoplasty and since my nose no longer hangs down, I’ve noticed a difference in the way my lip area looks overall. My concern is that because my lips are downturned, it might not look great. Any advice/suggestions appreciated.

Answer: To Shorten A Long Columella: Consider A Nonsurgical HA Filler/Botox Lip LIft Before jumping into more surgery, you may wish to consider a nonsurgical HA filler/Botox lip lift for the upper lip. This would consist of the use of a low viscosity, cohesive, malleable HA filler to to be injected along the vermilion border of the upper lip to better define it and provide the lift, and, if necessary, the addition of a couple of microdroplets of Botox placed on each side of the vermilion. The whole treatment in experienced hands should take no more than about ten minutes. The filler effect is typically seen immediately and the effect of the Botox usually seen in one to seven days following the treatment. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist filler expert. Hope this helps and best of luck.
