In Washington State, the people that perform most of the Ultherapy treatments are Licensed Medical Estheticians, RN's, PA's or MD's. Whoever you go to, you want to make sure they are properly trained with the device and either a MD or working closely with one. I always suggest having a consultation with the provider before undergoing a treatment. Do not be afraid to ask questions or have other consultations!
The laws in each state differ on who can use these types of devices. In most cases, the doctor in the office will not perform this type of treatment. In our medical spa we have a certified ulthera technician, who is trained on the most advanced and latest techniques in performing this treatment. I would check to see how much experience the technician has and how your treatment will be customized. We are diligent about our patients following up and coming back for photos. This ensures the patient and practice stay in communication about what results and changes are happening. Best of luck!

Currently, the best option for undereye fat pad extrusion is surgical removal of the fat pad, a procedure called blepharoplasty. In the next 5 years, new treatment cream called Topokine will become FDA-approved as an in-office procedure to shrink undereye fat pads.
Surgical results, such as a surgical brow lift, will always carry more dramatic results than a nonsurgical brow lift, such as Ultherapy®, regardless of whether or when you have had Botox® Cosmetic treatment in the area.
