Hello,Ultherapy is very technician dependent. It is extremely important that the provider is visualizing the ultrasound image during treatment and is very experienced using the device. In our practice, we have had amazing results with no adverse outcomes. Ultherapy works by administering ultrasound energy to specific depths of skin and muscle with precise ultrasound guidance, which causes tissue tightening and collagen production. Using ultrasound imaging, transducers with different depths are selected and the ultrasound energy can target precise depths of the patients’ lax skin and soft tissue including lax connective tissue of the face and neck. This is why an experienced technician that performs many treatments daily is important. Good Luck!
Results with different technologies is dependent on the providers experience and understanding of the technology. If the technology is not used properly, then the results will not be adequate. With ultherapy, the treatment is provided in two layers, the dermis and the muscle layer- If energy is delivered into the bone or fat, then no results will be seen. If not enough lines of energy are used, then results are not going to be seen. In our practice, I regularly send my ultherapists for training seminars, and I am there during the marking of the areas to be treated and I am there to supervise the different transducers that we will be using, as the depth of the dermis varies. Also, in our practice we regularly use more than the recommended number of treating lines, with enhancement transducers- this increases the chances of excellent results.
Ulthera is the only FDA approved device for non-surgical lifting. For the right patient, this treatment can produce dramatic results. Having a consultation with an experienced center will make all the difference in your result. Our state of the art facility was one of the first practices to have the device. The treatment needs to be customized according to each individual patient's anatomy. By using the monitor on the device we can locate where the superficial muscular aponeurotic system (SMAS) is. When the focused Ultra sound is delivered to the SMAS, a tightening occurs over 3-6 months. When done correctly Ulthera can give patients a more rejuvenated and younger appearance.Best of luck!
Hello,Thank you for your question. Ulthera can be user dependent. It is a procedure that can be completely customized. The best solution is to find a doctor who will have a thorough consultation. Ask them to do a demo on you, and explain which depths they will be treating you with. They should be able to give a detailed explanation, and treatment plan. Ulthera provides several trainings a year, as well as a 2-3 day school at their headquarters. You can ask your technician what courses they've taken. When administered correctly to the appropriate patient, this can be a very effective treatment. Good luck!
The technique and expertise of the practitioner has a lot to do with getting the best results. I always recommend seeing an expert in these types of treatments. Ultherapy is a great device, but works best in combination with other treatments like lasers, RF treatments, microneedling/PRP or sculptra to get increased collagen, tightening and improve skin tone. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
The results from Ultherapy can vary depending upon technique. Patients should be evaluated by a surgeon that can create a customized plan for each individual. Although the machine has standard settings, we rarely use these as most patients don't have standard faces. In addition, most of our patients have other treatments such as dermal fillers, surgery or lasers that further enhance their results. Ultherapy is a tool just as a scalpel is a tool. The results are very much dependent upon who is using the tool and how the plan was created. I would recommend having your ultherapy performed in a medical office that specializes in cosmetic surgery.
Yes, experience and technique play a role in the final results of Ultherapy, as well as how extensively Ultherapy is delivered. Ultherapy uses ultrasound energy to generate collagen from multiple layers of skin. If insufficient Ultherapy ultrasound lines are delivered, then the patient won't see the full results. Therefore not only you would need an expert provider who is skilled enough to deliver the treatment for you, but also you would need to choose someone who is an honest professional and who has the patient's outcome as his or her best interest. It's also important to keep in mind that not everyone would benefit the same from Ultherapy. Therefore it's important to begin your rejuvenation process with a consultation with a cosmetic doctor who can design a treatment plan specific to your needs.
The difference is the Provider doing the procedure. Ultherapy has a way in which it works to the depth of surgery, and when the Provider is not watching the settings, or do not understand how to use the machine properly the results can be disappointing. You should always seek an Ultheraphy Professional that has experience, to the point where you feel complete comfort and confidence with them.Consultations are usually free. Take the time to find the Provider that is right for you.
Overtreatment by poorly trained or inexperienced nurses, aestheticians and doctors can and likely does occur, as do complications from the same providers. The Ultherapy machine computer program has had updates since we started using it in 2012. Overtreatment can cause changes like hair and...
Yes, I recommend combining ultherapy with thermage and they can be done on the same day. You may want to try VASER with ThermiRF to get a more robust improvement. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
